When I started thinking about a video for ‘Blossom’ I was desperate to avoid doing anything overly obvious, I didn’t want a bland interpretation of the lyrics or just another lip-synced music video. Essentially ‘Blossom’ is a song about the start of something, new beginnings, new love, and the anxiety and hopefulness that go with that. I started talking through a few ideas with the Brighton based filmmaker Joseph Rodriques Marsh, and this concept of floating over and into a city came up…the weird mix of caution and excitement you feel when you arrive in a place for the first time, totally new and unknown but full of potential. Joseph was heading to Korea for a family wedding that week, so it was decided that he’d document the trip for the video. The result is, for me, like an out of body experience where a whole city moves and dances to the song - Richard Walters
